Proper planning and instilling a positive mind-set is the secret behind the success of the Ratu Kadavulevu School sports teams.

Assistant principal Walesi Soqoiwasa made the revelation during the RKS grand celebration in Lodoni yesterday.

The celebration is to honor RKS for winning the:

  • Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League U19 title after six years;
  • U18 rugby team for creating history in the first Pacific Island team to win the Sanix Youth World Youth Rugby Tournament;
  • Tailevu Zone athletics boys champion
  • Overall boys champion in the 2018 Coca-Cola Games after 21 years

Soqoiwasa was grateful with the effort by all those involved.

Soqoiwasa said he was fortunate to share the traditional values that can only be found in Delainakaikai.

“This has been an historic moment for Ratu Kadavulevu School and we are very happy what the students achieved,”Soqoiwasa said.

“The secret behind our success is proper organisation. We work as one team with one dream and one mission to do the best we can.

“This is my second year in RKS and I have been very much involved with sports for a long time but my stint in Lodoni one of the memorable moments in my career.”
