The Cloud 9 Malolo women rugby team defeated Jack’s Nadi 26- 7 under intense heat at Prince Charles Park yesterday.

Cloud 9 Malolo strength was in their defence as they led 21-0 at half­time with tries scored by Akanisi Sokoiwasa, Ateca Leiyamo and Tokasa Robeanavanua.

In the second half, Jack’s Nadi managed to score their first try Ilimaima Wai which was converted by first five eighth Seruwaia Ratu.

But Cloud 9 Malolo halfback Vili­si Vakaloloma sealed the win for Malolo with a try.

Cloud 9 Malolo coach Linda Shan­non said;

“As you know all these girls are rugby league players and it’s so pleasing to see them put out their best today. They have been prompt in training and that resulted in the win.”

Jack’s Nadi coach Kaminieli Tui­wasa said;

“We have discipline issues and miscommunication we need to deal with.”
