The BLK Nadroga edged Naitasiri in the Skipper Cup Premiership 15-14 at the Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori yesterday.

What happened:

Naitasiri drew firts blood with a penalty to Kini Douglas in the 2nd minute.

Nadroga was penalised for indis­cipline and Douglas was spot add­ing the extra.

Nadroga’s Jiuta Lutumailagi kicked a penalty kick to keep his side in the game in the 13th min­ute, Naitasiri 6-3 Nadroga

Sevuloni Tawake broke through the tough Naitasiri defence to score the first try of the game for Nadroga in the 27th minute. Na­droga 8-6 Naitasiri

Douglas converted another pen­alty before halftime.

Halftime: Naitasiri 9-8 Nadroga

Nadroga came back stronger in the second half, and Sailosi Dawai scored the much need try in the 66th minute to increase their lead 15-8.

Sakeo Raloa of Naitasiri scored in the 73rd minute, but the conversion from Douglas was unsuccessful.

BLK Nadroga manager Poasa Ser­evi said;

hey have located some areas they will need to “We were expecting a tough match and they gave us a good game. ”

Naitasiri Coach Koli Sewabu said;

“We lost concentration in the last quarter and costs us.”
