Support Women, Vodo Pleads

Talica Vodo calls for more support from members of the public towards women’s competition in the Skipper Cup Premiership.
The Suva women captain made the comment following their 57-5 win over Navosa in the fourth round of competition at the ANZ Stadium yesterday.
“We need people to come out in numbers and support women’s rugby just like they support the men,” Vodo said.

“Through fans support it will help develop women’s rugby to another level.”
Navosa captain Miliana Bose was grateful of the support they are getting so far.
“We have been getting a lot of support from Navosa players overseas like Semi Kunatani,”Bose said.
“We are all secondary school students and we are still young and playing in this Skipper Cup Premiership will give us exposure and experience .” Suva led 19-5 at halftime.
Namosi women dominate
Namosi women thumped Rewa 57-0 in the Skipper Cup Premiership match at the Thomson Park, Navua yesterday.
Namosi ran in eight tries in a one sided match.
‘I’m pleased with our strike rate,” Namosi coach Mere King said.
“We held our composure under pressure and we played good rugby.”
