Dolakoto To Lead The Fijian Warriors

Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors captain Mesulame Dolakoto anticipates a good outing in the upcoming Nations cup which starts on May 30, in Uruguay.
The 23- year- old from Kuruivonu, Tunulou in Vanua Levu native said he was surprised to be selected as captain and lead the team for the first time.
“When I was informed that I will be leading the team as the captain I was abit shocked because I personally felt that we had other experienced players in the team with the likes of Jone Veitoyaki who have represented the side in the international arena already,” Dolakoto said.
“It’s an honor and privilege to represent Fiji and to be selected as the captain of the team. The Fijian Warriors side has a great mixture of young and old players in the side.
“And we are hoping to deliver our best in the upcoming Nations Cup. I think in the nation’s cup we will need to work and step up on our forwards, set pieces because playing against top guns from the nation’s cup won’t be that easy.
“We are looking forward to a great test for the boys as we have been playing for a while together as most of the players in the squad were part of the team that played during the Brisbane 10’s and the PRC so I am confident the boys will give their best performance.”
