The Osea Umuumulovo coached Tropik Pine Lautoka Maroons will leave no stones unturned as they face Yasawa in their Vodafone Vanua Challenge at Nadovu Park in Lautoka this Saturday.

Both teams remain undefeated after four rounds of this season.

Umuumulovo said, “I think there is a lot of room for improvement. We have the next game against Yasawa. Hopefully we will go back to the drawing board and get some things ironed out before the Yasawa game.”

“It is healthy rivalry between Yasawa and Lautoka this year. Yasawa has to survi9ve and Lautoka has to survive. I know that people have come up with their identity to play for the unions that they love. We have accepted the player’s movements.

Umuumulovo did not mince his words on the form of the team with the inclusion of Meli Ravai, Timoci Vudrau, Kiniviliame Ratudina, Alipate Saratibau, and Luke Lomata.

“Our target is to get back into the top tier competition. So we are mixing the youths with experienced players so that they have experience playing in the Skipper Cup next year. We are really gearing up for that,” he said.

He added the injection by the Tropik Pine sponsorship has boosted the morale of the team.

“The coaching management has been out in the doldrums but we are coming back up again.”

Meanwhile, in another enterprising match in the western conference will see Nanukuloa host Ra.

Nakukuloa rugby head coach Moape Bolebole is aiming to bounce back into a winning form as they face Ra this Saturday.

“We came to beat Lautoka but we lost so have to go back and prepare for next week. We need to improve on our set piece and scrums which was our downfall,” he said.

The side will be banking on Sesoni Rokotuiloma, Emori Seru, Lekaba Naisamu, Mateo Tilivarua and Jope Roko.
