Fiji Airways Fijian 7s rep Apenisa Cakaubalavu loves the transition from being a forward to a utility player under coach Gareth Baber.

The 25-year-old departed with the side for the London 7s at Twickenham next week.

“I thank the Lord for giving me the chance to be representing the country again,” he said.

“The coach is working with me to be a utility from prop, hooker and rover. I will be contesting for spots with Samisoni Viriviri and Sevuloni Mocenacagi.”

The Naroi, Moala, Lau native made his debut in Dubai and was injured in Cape Town.

He was called in as an impact player to replace winger Avete Daveta at the Hamilton 7s.

“We need the support from home which has been a catalyst in our success on foreign lands,” Cakaubalavu said.

Speedster Alosio Naduva said, “We have been preparing well as we are fit and ready to go and battle it out and win the two tournaments.”
