There is no place for catch up rugby in the highly competitive 2018 Skipper Cup Premiership competition.

All the eight teams need to survive round five this weekend if they are to avoid relegation as only the top six teams qualify .

Teams must start with a bang and must keep the consistency for 80 minutes.

It’s not about playing to last but by playing smart to survive in the long run.

The bottom four teams Malolo, Navosa, Namosi and Nadi must bring in their A-game this weekend.

“It’s a matter of survival in round five so we need to beat Malolo,” Navosa manager Ropate Labalaba said.

“We are all related but we need to win to stay in the Skipper Cup Premiership in 2019.

“Losing to Suva last Saturday was a big wake-up call for us. The boys are camping in Votua and are all eager to get the job done on Friday.”

Namosi must keep all cylinders firing at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka on Saturday. Currently on eight points, Namosi must avoid sinking further and must upset the defending champions.

Rewa have the advantage of beating Nadi to remain in the top four as they will host the jetsetters at Burebasaga.

But the big game in round five when Naitasiri host Suva at Naluwai.

“The boys are camping in Navuso and all eager to return to our favourite ground in Naluwai after more than 10 years,”Naitasiri manager Kemueli Senokonoko said,

Whoever wins, top the table with two rounds to play.
