The Ratu Kadavulevu School Under-18 rugby side are focusing on main­taining their playing skills after get­ting two yellow cards during their 10-8 win over Queen Victoria School at Sila Central ground, Nausori yesterday.

What happened: QVS took a 3-0 lead in the 10th minute when first five eight Aporosa Derenalagi kicked over a penalty.

Halftime: QVS 3-0 RKS

RKS came back strongly in the second half and second five eight Peni Salabiau sliced through the QVS defence to score the first try while fullback Sireli Maqala missed the conversion.

RKS No.8 Alivereti Loaloa got the first yel­low card and was later followed by Kelemete Katudrau.

QVS regained the lead 8-5 when they ran in a try but it was Josua Koro that dived over for RKS’s second to seal the win.

Comment: RKS assistant manager Alivereti Loaloa said: “There were a lot of mistakes that we will need to improve on. We saw that the game plan was not really followed by the players.”
