One of Fiji’s leading financial services providers, Bank South Pacific (BSP), is opening all its branches for Saturday banking today and for the next three Saturdays from 9am to 2pm.

The aim, they say, is to give customers an extra day to visit a branch and take advantage of BSP’s instant approval on personal loans.

“We are delighted to bring back this popular offer that members of the public look forward to because it’s a quick and convenient service,” said BSP general manager retail banking Ravindra Singh.

“Our team of highly trained and experienced staff are ready to serve.”

During these Saturday banking hours, customers can apply for personal, home or car loans, open a new account, access their customer enquiry services and get life and health insurance advice. There are no retail teller services.

Having an advisor in the branch makes BSP a truly one-stop-shop for financial services, the bank says.

“BSP’s Personal Loans are available with instant approvals for those customers who borrow funds totalling up to $5 000. This applies for Top Up customers too,” Mr Singh said.

“All loan applications will be subject to credit assessments.

“When you take a personal loan with BSP, rest assured that you are covered. The loan comes with life insurance cover which means that your debt is paid off in the event of an untimely death. There is also a $1,000 cash allocation for your next of kin for funeral expenses.”

To apply, existing BSP customers simply need their latest payslip and if possible, an employment confirmation letter.

BSP welcomes customers from other banks to take advantage of this offer too. According to the bank, customers must present a recent payslip, an employment confirmation letter, a bank statement showing the last 12 months activity and any other supporting documents that will assist with the assessment of your identity and credit rating.
