Kunatuba: We Want To Stay Unbeaten

The Suva Women’s rugby side will focus on their new players as they face Rewa today in the sixth round of the Skipper Cup Premiership at Bidesi Park, Suva.
Suva are leading with 23 points on the points table followed by Malolo with 19.
Suva coach Elenoa Kunatuba said yesterday seven of their players have been included into the national women’s rugby team to tour Australia next week.
They are Mere Moto, Sereima Leweniqila, Rusila Tamoi, Roela Radiniyavuni, Mereseini Leivere, Alisi Komaitai, Nioni Nai and Akosita Ravato.
Kunatuba said they have been focusing on the new players and the fact that they need to step-up to the task ahead.
“They are good during training and we are concentrating on our game plan,” she said.
“We’ve been working on our mistakes that we had seen during the last match. Unfortunately we won’t be having our key players around but it’s an opening to other players and a chance for them to step-up. Rewa have been playing well as they beat Nadi last week.”
Kunatuba said they are treating every game like a final as the matches are now getting tougher.
“We’re not taking them lightly and we hope that we are able to maintain our aim to remain unbeaten at the end of the comp.”
