Republic of Fiji Military Forces personnel boarded Her Majesty’s Australian Ship (HMAS) Adelaide as sea riders on May 27, 2018 as she prepared to sail for Indo Pacific Engagement (IPE) enroute to RIM­PAC 18 in Hawaii.

The personnel included Sub Lieutenant Jone Vatuni­lagi, Midshipmen Waisea Votadroka and Sulicevuga Tuiova, Leading Seamen Jolame Bera, Inoke Rokoduru and Eroni Bulamaimaleya, and Captain Paula Gade from Land Force Operation.

The sea riders during their time onboard were in­tergrated to their respective spe­cialised branches, where they were at­tached and did rou­tine tasks by their individual depart­ments on a daily basis.

Exercises were promulgated on the ship’s daily orders and were followed through within the time frame as stipulated by the daily orders and it included Officer of the Watch Maneuvers in company with HMAS Melbourne together with replen­ishment at sea approaches.
