This is the latest statistics released by the Permanent Secretary for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Jiosefa Koroivueta.

He said a team of 200 staff members from their ministry have been working round the clock to make sure that people were catered for.

Officials on the ground also include the Vodafone Fiji, Fiji Police Force, Fiji Red Cross Society and the Fijian Elections Office.

“Everyday we are targeting 4500 out of which 1000 are focused on people with disabilities, pregnant mothers and the elderly people, we will be in Tavua for two days.”

Dr Koroivueta added. He also said that they would be in Ba on Thursday.

Dr Koroivueta also thanked the district councillors and police in coming in full force to control the crowd at Garvey Park in Tavua.

Advisory Councillors of Tavua were in full force to assist in internal crowd control and to pick out people that should not be assisted for they have been given Homes CARE e card already.
