The country’s only fully locally owned commercial bank, HFC has given the Construction Industry Council (CIC)two day conference a timely sponsorship boost.

On hand to accept the $10,000 cheque was CIC President Gordon Jenkins who said this will be the first time key private sector and Government stakeholders will converge to discuss matters of vital interest to their future as an industry.

“We are grateful to HFC for coming forward and we are confident this will be a long term partnership with the construction industry moving forward,” said Mr Jenkins.

He also thanked other sponsors such as Ba Industries Limited and the 20 local and overseas exhibiting suppliers that will make up the CIC Trade Show.

“We will have speakers talking about licensing, standards, training and approvals and the idea is to get delegates to openly discuss and ask questions so that at the end of it, we come up with solid resolutions that lead to real changes,” said Mr Jenkins.

The CIC conference starts with its Trade Show on Thursday June 14th followed by its two day conference on Friday and Saturday at the Warwick Fiji on the Coral Coast.
