BLK will be the official merchandise apparel sponsors for the selected 13 schools participating at the 2018 Coke Zero Deans Trophy competition.  The first presentation was done at Suva Grammar School yesterday where teams from the Under 14-18 grades received their set of jerseys.

Speaking during the official jersey handover, BLK director of commercial and marketing Liga Gukisuva said they are proud to be the merchandise apparel sponsors for the first time.

“It is a proud moment for us to be able to be the official apparel sponsors as it shows two things, one the preference to the brand and the confidence in us to groom future Fijian rugby stars,” he said.

“For us one of the new things that we are doing this year is that we have lifted our standard in terms of the appearance of the apparel that we are giving.

“So, the attire that we are giving is the same one worn by the Super Rugby teams which will also be worn by their competitors as well during the Deans competition this year.”

Gukisuva said this is their first year of sponsorship with the schools and they would be sponsoring 13 secondary schools with 50 sets of playing apparel.

“And the total amount of sponsorship costs per school for this apparels is $15,000 and it is one of the biggest that we have ever done.”

Suva Grammar School principal Segran Pillay was grateful to BLK for the sponsorship.

“We feel really fortunate to be one of those lucky schools to be sponsored by BLK.

“I’m really grateful to Gukisuva and his team for taking their precious time to support the teams.”

Other schools that received their set of jerseys are John Wesley College and Queen Victoria School.
