The return of suspended striker Samuela Drudru will bolster Lautoka’s chances of winning against Labasa and Dreketi in this weekend’s  Vodafone Premier League matches in Labasa.

Drudru has served his seven- match suspension for breach of the Oceania Football Confederation’s disciplinary code relating to racism.

Lautoka Football Association president Abdul Kadar said Drudru has been impressive at training and is expected to be at his best at Subrail Park, Labasa.

“He has finished his suspension and we are left to pay for the $7500 fine to Ocean Football committee,” Kadar said.

“We need to pay for the fine before the game against the Babasiga Lions on Saturday.

“The Blues need to play for pride and give their best. It would be a tough challenge for Lautoka to win against the home side who reached the FACT final and also Dreketi.

“It will be tough to win, but the boys need to play to their best to win. A win will be a consolation for the team and the boys should play for pride.

“The challenge for the boys is to work on their weaknesses and counter the high-flying Labasa team and the Dreketi side who played superb football during the Vodafone Fiji Fact.”

Kadar told SUNsports they’ve rested a few of their veteran players while they are giving the younger ones the opportunity to prove themselves.

Prominent names to feature for the Sugar City side include national reps Kolinio Sivoki, Dave Radrigai, Kavaia Rawaqa, Zibraaz Sahib, Beniamino Mateinaqara, Osea Vakatalesau and Jone Vesikula.

Kadar has urged Lautoka fans to be at Subrail Park when they take on Labasa at 1.30pm tomorrow.
