Fiji Airways Flying Fijians head coach John McKee strongly believes that Olympian and Edinburgh based- Viliame Mata has a bright future at the No 8 position.

McKee made positional changes in his line-up when he shifted Mata back to No.8 while captain, Akapusi Qera will be at openside flanker against Georgia tomorrow.

In another interesting move young hooker Vere Vugakoto starts ahead of veteran Talemaitoga Tuapati and Ratunaisa Navuma.

“Various opportunities have come through our pathway, Vugakoto is a developing player it’s going to be his first test start in the weekend and I’m sure he will do really well with the help of the senior players Campese Ma’afu and Manasa Saulo,” McKee said.

“We are playing a different opposition this week, getting Qera to play on the side of the scrum and Viliame Mata at No.8.

“Mata has made outstanding transition from 7s to 15s and it’s a good future for him to play in that position.”

Also Waratahs tighthead prop Kalivati Tawake is on the bench along with Navuma. Tawake made his Super Rugby debut this season.

McKee was also excited about the midfield combination of Jale Vatubua and debutant Semi Radradra.

“Semi has quickly got up to speed,” he added.

Nadolo earns his spot back on the wing and pairs up with classy Vereniki Goneva while Timoci Nagusa and Melbourne Rebels halfback Frank Lomani start from the bench.
