No Excuse For Not Trying: Ratu Jone Tells Young Cadets of RKS

Brigadier-General Ratu Jone Kalouniwai gave a moving speech to the Ratu Kadavulevu School students during the passing–out parade at the school in Lodoni yesterday.
Speaking to 642 cadets, the Republic of Fiji Military Forces chief of staff said: “Remember there is no excuse for not trying. Where you are right now, does not have to determine where you will end up tomorrow.”
He called on all students to set their own goals for their education and do everything they can to meet them.
Ratu Kadavulevu School baton of honour recipient Ratu Penaia Cavuilati thanked Ratu Jone for the motivational speech.
The headboy said he was honoured to accept the award adding: “I must thank God for giving me the strength, wisdom and power to finish off the course on a high note.
“I must thank the teachers too, the old scholars and parents present at the passing-out today.”
And while he has set his sights on becoming an aircraft engineer, he looks forward to begin his tertiary education at The University of the South Pacific then continue from there. Edited by Ranoba Baoa
