Robbery, Rape File Awaits Decision
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions is to decide on charges against a suspect in an alleged aggravated robbery and rape case in Ba.
Police have confirmed that the move has been made based on legal advice.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed the alleged incident occurred on Monday at Raviravi, Ba.
“The accused is alleged to have forcefully entered the victim’s home, demanded money, raped her and stole electrical items,” she said.
“I have received confirmation from the legal officer that after reviewing the file again he has decided to send it to Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for sanctioning.”
The suspect has been caution interviewed and released awaiting the ODPP’s decision.
