Sewabu Tests Local Under-20 Players

The Fiji Airways Fijian Under-20 rugby team played to a 25-25 draw against Navy during a friendly match at the Bidesi ground in Suva yesterday.
Working towards the 2018 World Rugby U20 Trophy in Romania, coach Koli Sewabu said this was part of their build-up towards the tournament and he is yet to confirm the final team.
Sewabu said with the current squad he believes the players have the potential to be part of the World Rugby U20.
“We currently have a wider training squad and we have a few new players,” the former Flying Fijians No.8 said. “The players are those who have been playing well during the Skipper Cup and we are trying to get them adjusted to the structure of play.
“It is still too early to say which players will be selected but we are giving the local players an opportunity to prove themselves.”
