Manu Samoa rugby captain Chris Vui says, they will need to execute their moves in order to be better than other teams if they are to qualify for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

This was after Samoa lost their Pacific Nations Cup matches to the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians 24-22 and Tonga 28-18 at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

The Samoans will now play the winner of the European qualifier Germany for a spot in the 2019 RWC. It is a two-leg playoff and the winner will qualify directly for Japan.

The Germans will travel to Apia on June 30 and host the return leg on July 14, with the winner going on to complete Pool A where they face Japan, Ireland, Russia and Scotland.

Vui said the game against Tonga was similar to Fiji so they would try and get better with the executions.

“It was the same scenario as last week with Fiji. Next week we will be heading into the qualifier camp so there will be a little more improvement that we will need.

“Every team has gotten better and Samoa needs to be better especially with our execution.”
