Rubbing shoulders with Australian Wallabies top halfback has helped developed Frank Lomani as a player.

The 22-year-old was recently rushed into the Melbourne Rebels squad as a cover due to injuries to their backline players during the Super Rugby competition.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, Lomani said, he has learned a lot from while with the Rebels and has developed his running game.

LEARN FROM THE BEST

“I’ve been working closely with Genia in the past few weeks when I was with the Rebels and he has really helped me,” he said.

Lomani said his aim now is to play in all the remaining Test matches of the Flying Fijians.

“I’m not sure whether I will be playing or not on Saturday but hopefully I get another chance,” the Savusavu native said.

The other two halfbacks in the side are Henry Seniloli and Serupeplei Vularika.

SHOW OF CLASS

He showed his class last Saturday against Georgia when he came in the second half and ran in two tries.

“From the game against Georgia, it all came down to preparation and it clearly showed in the game,” Lomani added.

He also played for the Fiji Airways Drua side in the Australia National Rugby Championship.
