Tongan head coach Toutai Kefu is confident of a good finish to their June Test campaign when they face the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians at Churchill Park, Lautoka, tomorrow.

After an impressive outing last week defeating Samoa 28-18, the Tongans are pumped up and optimistic of their chances against the Pacific Nations Cup champions.

“We are confident we can do a good job against the Flying Fijians,”Kefu said.

The Tongans are so banking on the services of France – based Racing 92 prop Ben Tameifuna to bolster their forward pack.

Tonga will be looking to record their second win after losing 16-15 to Georgia in their PNC opener.

Cooper Vuna, who plays for Bath in the Aviva Premiership in England, has recovered.

“He is feeling a bit tight but we nursed him through the week so he is alright and we will be putting him at inside centre,” Kefu said.

They spent yesterday afternoon resting at the Tanoa Waterfront Hotel in Lautoka.

The Tongan team will be having their captain’s run today and their match against Fiji will kickoff at 3pm at Churchill Park, Lautoka
