The 27-19 loss of the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians to Tonga means they have a lot of work to do before next year’s Rugby World Cup. The loss is a blessing disguise for the John McKee coached-side as they need to lift their performance if they are to compete against the Tier 1 nations.
Here is we rate the Flying Fijians that played yesterday;
- Campese Ma’afu: Scrummed well and always in the thick of things-6
- Talemaitoga Tuapati: Good in scrums but need to improve lineout throws- 6
- Manasa Saulo: Didn’t do much in other aspects of the game- 5
- Viliame Mata: Played well, ran in a great try- 7
- Leone Nakarawa: Didn’t perform to the level that he’s known for- 6
- Dominiko Waqaniburotu: Need to improve on his handling skills- 5
- Mosese Voka: Need to be aggressive in the breakdown areas- 5
- Akapusi Qera: Dropped a lot of balls not effective at No.8 – 4
- Frank Lomani: Quick off the mark but needs to control the game- 5
- Ben Volavola: Took wrong options and far from his best- 5
- Nemani Nadolo: Did not do much- 3
- Jale Vatubua- Overshadowed by Cooper Vuna, failed to get past the advantage line- 5
- Vereniki Goneva- A classy player but made wrong decisions-5
- Timoci Nagusa- Individual play was his downfall- 5
- Kini Murimurivalu- Made no impact in the game -4
