The Suva football team fought hard to hold hosts Labasa to a scoreless draw at Subrail Park yesterday.

But however, the Babasiga Lions are determined to avenge their earlier 5-3 loss to Rewa in the Vodafone Fiji FACT final when they again meet today in a Vodafone Premier League showdown.

Labasa midfielder Ilisoni Logaivau told SUNsports that they have been preparing for this clash.

“We know that Rewa is coming in prepared and we have to be careful, they can do anything at any time,” he said.

Logaivau said they are ready to take on their opponents.

“We will play at their level and we will give our best. We call on our fans to support us at all times either we win or lose.”

Logaivau said they are capable of delivering the much-needed result.

“Our aim is to win the competition and we are confident of achieving that. We want to bring back the lost glory.”

Although three key players are injured, Logaivau says, they have been given time to rest and should recover to rejoin the squad.

“Our coach has been doing a good work and players have co-ordinated well and are confident to take on the Delta Tigers,” he said.

The clash kicks-off at 3pm.
