Naholo Homecoming

Villagers of Nadroumai, Nadroga will come in busloads to make it a special occasion for Waisake Naholo playing for the first time in Fiji as a Highlander
Aporosa Naholo, Waisake Naholos’s father is looking forward to seeing his son play for the first time in Fiji as a Highlander.
Naholo who just returned from New Plymouth, New Zealand where his three sons Meli, Kini and Waisake Naholo reside, said this was a much anticipated reunion for the whole family and the village of Nadromai in Nadroga.
“All my sons have been playing exceptionally well and it is any fathers dream to see their children succeed,” Naholo said.
“For Waisake, ever since he left to play in New Zealand and joining the Highlanders this is the first time for him to play at home and that is why this is special to us.
“I told him before coming back to Fiji that there are a lot of people who will want to see him play. I reminded him to keep maintaining that standard of play.”
Naholo added a busload of people from Nadroumai will be making their way to the ANZ Stadium in Suva this Saturday to watch the clash against the Gallagher Chiefs.
“The village have organised a few buses to take us to the stadium on Saturday,” Naholo said.
“They have made t-shirts, banners and are all looking forward to the seeing one of their very own play.”
Naholo added the family will meet Waisake on Friday.
“His mother and aunties are eager to meet him on Friday. We would like to have him come back with us to the village but it depends on the Highlanders.
