Fiji Airways Fijian 7s captain Seremaia Tuwai says the side is focused on delivering their best as they prepare for the Rugby World Cup Sevens on July 20-22 in San Francisco.

Tuwai said they need to move on after coming second best at the Commonwealth Games and World Sevens Series.

“First and for most I would like to thank the Almighty for the strength and blessing for enabling me to lead the side,” Tuwai said.

“The boys have been very supportive throughout and I thank all of them.

“So far preparations are going on smoothly and the focus is to follow the instructions of the coach and as the captain, I promise to give my 100 per cent to the team.

“After the World Sevens Series, I was really disappointed because we wanted to win the title.

“And I take full responsibility for the decision I made during the Cup quarterfinal loss to England.

“But right now we just want to start afresh as a team and try to win the World Rugby Cup Sevens.

“The inclusion of experienced players like Leone Nakarawa, Josua Tuisova and Semi Radradra will be a great boost and will strengthen the team.

“It will also help us achieving our goal.”
