Seven contestants will be vying for the 2018 Vodafone Coral Coast Carnival in Sigatoka which starts tomorrow.

The theme for the event is ‘Our Environment is our Responsibility’.

Sigatoka Town Council Chief Executive officer and carnival chairperson Tulsi Ram said: “This is very simple to understand by everyone and we all should take some responsibility towards our environment.

“We have seven brave girls who have come forward to assist the council raise money for some beautification works in town.”

The crowning is on July 7.

Vodafone representative William Tabuya said: “Vodafone is once again grateful to be involved with the weeklong event.

“The Coral Coast Carnival is a family event where everyone can come together to support the queens for one week.

“There are plenty of rides, games, and on stage activities that will keep everyone engaged over the duration of the carnival.”
