Ledua Malakai charged with one count of unlawfully cultivation of illicit drugs was further remanded in custody.
Malakai appeared before High Court judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe yesterday.
State prosecutor Juleen Fatiaki alleged in court that Malakai unlawfully cultivated 16 kilograms of illicit drugs earlier this year. The charges were read and understood by the accused. He pleaded not guilty. The case was adjourned to July 27.
