FAIR Session For Firemen And Refs

The Fiji Rugby Union’s Rugby Development Officer for the Western Division, Lionel Danford, conducted an online First Aid in Rugby (FAIR) session at the National Fire Authority Headquarters in Nadi on Wednesday night.
Eight NFA officers and four members of the Nadi Referees Association attended the online session, which is compulsory for all participants to attend before they can participate in the practical session.
Danford said that said the session included the Danger Response Airways Breathing Circulation (DR ABC) and the Manual Inline Stabilization (MILS).
The Nadi NFA Officers are currently engaged with Nadi Rugby Union in the provision for Medical Stand By during their Club and Skipper Cup competition.
Out of the 12 that completed their online session last night, 11 were male and 1 female.
The session will continue tomorrow at Nawaka District School where the participants will be taken through the practicality of the course.
World Rugby Medical Educators for the course included Dr Mara Vukivukiseru, Ethel Rose (Nurse), Fugawai Bulivou (Physio) and Danford.
