Players, Coaches Commended
The Fiji Airways Fijian and Fijiana 7s teams presented their traditional i-tatau to President Major General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote at the Borron House, Suva yesterday.
The teams will participate in the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens in San Francisco, USA next month and will depart next week for Utah.
President Konrote encouraged the players to continue their outstanding performance and always put God first.
He commended the two coaches Iliesa Tanivula and Gareth Baber for their hard work.
“You have demonstrated this very well during the past few tournaments so far,” he said.
“Congratulation to the players who will be taking part in the world event.
“You take with you the blessing of each and every Fijian and the Government of Fiji.
“To the coaches, your commitment and dividend have been paid off in the last series.”
