Red Cross Ball Back After 15 Years

The Fiji Red Cross Society is reviving its annual charity ball after 15 years.

With the aim to raise funds to be able to maintain community programmes in Fiji, Director General Filipe Nainoca said contributions to the event would strengthen Red Cross’ role as a humanitarian service provider.

He said it would also maintain the organisation’s capacity to offer community assistance throughout Fiji.

“Your support will greatly assist this capacity,” Mr Nainoca said.

“This charity ball will help us continue the work that we do, ensuring communities are resilient to natural disasters.”

The tickets are $300 and there will be entertainment, pre-dinner drinks and prizes to be won at the event.

It will be held at the Grand Pacific Hotel on July 7, 2018, starting at 6.30pm, with the theme “Fire and Ice.”

Mr Nainoca acknowledged sponsors for their support.

The last charity ball was held in 2003.
