The emergence of Paradise Beverages has boosted the Nadi Netball Association to hold their competition.

After a four-year lapse the Nadi Netball launched their club competition yesterday.

Paradise Beverages sales manager west Jen Osborne said, they are proud to be associated with grassroots in terms of developing netball in Nadi.

“As a netball mother for the last five years I’m passionate with the sport. Our company has been associated with the Nawaka Rugby Club for the last 32 years and now it’s time to assist netball.”

Nadi Netball Association vice- president Vuki Laulovokuru thanked Paradise Beverages for help boosting the sport.

“We’re so grateful that we are beginning to have this competition after so many years.”

Interestingly, Lautoka- based Seniteteva team with players like Arieta Kalo, Laisa Drosinalagi, Miliakere Kamikamica, Torika Soso, Arieta Yabakivou, Maliana Rusivakula, Sosefina Rusivakula and Afa Rusivakula will now play in the Nadi competition.

During the Joske knockout tournament teams as far as Tagimoucia from Suva battled against Nadi- based teams of Saunaka, Bloom Magics, Gaunavou Diamonds, Nawaka, Korotabu, Western Marine, Naduruniu and Momi.

In the past years, Nadi Netball has produced top players like the late Makelesi Lutuciri, Ana Erenavula and current rep Kelera Nawai.
