Animals Fiji To Visit Ovalau Again

The goal is to improve the welfare of all animals – domesticated and wildlife

West-based Animals Fiji will be moving to Ovalau where the team will offer four days of veterinary services.

The visit is from July 11 to 14. Co-founder and managing trustee Casey Quimby said this would be their fourth visit to Ovalau since 2015.

During each clinic they offer subsidised services including spaying and neutering as well as consultations with their veterinarian.

“This clinic and our services are made possible, thanks to donations from the locals and international donors,” Ms Quimby said.

“This clinic ensures that the public can make the most of their veterinary services while on the island.

“Our charity’s goal is to improve the welfare of all animals-domesticated and wildlife.

“This will result in better lives for both the animals and humans of Fiji, while helping to build a society without animal cruelty.”

Animals Fiji is operated by West Charity Trust Society. It is a registered Fijian charity with a focus on animal welfare.

Owners can seek treatment for their pets, livestock as well as wildlife with the charity.

Ms Quimby thanked Liza Ditrich for initiating all their visits to Ovalau.

She was also grateful to Josese Rakuita and his team at Levuka Town Council, and the Ministry of Agriculture for sponsoring the location and their assistance in promoting the opportunity for the community.
