Solomon Islanders have commended the performance of the Fijian delegation at the 2018 Melanesian Arts and Cultural Festival.

Solomon Islander 39-year-old John Wale of Honiara while watching the performance by the National Youth Band said that he enjoyed the lively entertainment.

“The choice of songs is lively and entertaining and we always look forward to watching performances by them,” Mr Wale said.

Similar sentiments were shared by 29-year-old, Evonne Waitara.

“Fijians are natural entertainers, the crowd is enjoying every moment,” Ms Waitara said.

The Fijian delegation to the festival consists of traditional dance groups (iTaukei and Rotuman), Contemporary Dance Group (Shobna Chanel and Pasifika Voices), visual artists, heritage artists, the National Youth Band and a fashion designer.
