The annual Makita trade show hosted by Vinod Patel and held in Nadi on Wednesday night showcased the latest in power pools.

The attraction of the night were the 18 volts cordless machines which took away the strain of pulling lead wires around the job site.

Makita Australia Export Manager John Konopka led the demonstrations on tools ranging from drills to cutters and circular saws and a host of other machines.

He said the power and flexibility came with these new line of power tools which came withn rechargeable bateries.

“Vinod Patel has come a long way with their service centre for Makita tools at Centrepoint in Suva.”

Mr Konopka said today, that had changed to a positive experience.

“The directors of Vinod Patel had invested some serious dollars in bringing that service centre up to very good standards.”

Makita Australia’s service centre in Sydney hosted four Vinod Patel employees over a week to learn how to service the power tools.

Mr Konopka said the Vinod Patel staff members were taught the basics and learnt a lot while in Sydney.

“I encourage you to try out the service centre in Suva now because it is different.”

Vinod Patel’s general manager sales and operations Neelesh Pal Singh said event is held at all major centres annually.

“This gives the opportunity for all who use Makita tools to converge where the products are showcase and learn new things about the chines.”

Mr Singh said a new service centre for the western division would be opened either in Nadi or Lautoka.
