Gospel High School  headboy, Timoci Ratulevu  and headgirl Amisha Maharaj want to join the medical profession next year.

After receiving the Baton of Honour at the school’s cadet passing out parade yesterday, Timoci said his aim was to become a doctor and specialise as a  surgeon.

He is confident that his application for a place at the Fiji National University’s College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences will be accepted.

If that option fails he will apply for a place in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces cadet officers course.

Timoci  thanked the teachers, students and the RFMF trainers for making the cadet passing out possible.

He said the training was good and it helped instill discipline into the students.

Headgirl, Amisha,  who was named the Best Female Cadet wants to be a general practitioner to work closely with members of the public.

When asked about the cadet training at school, she said it was tough but she never gave up.

“It was an educational exercise,” Amisha said. Edited by Percy Kean
