Ministry Provides For Special Needs Entrepreneur

The Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou, handed over materials for business expansion to a disabled entrepreneur under the Small and Micro Enterprises allocation in Lautoka recently.
An emotional Imraan Hussain, 34, of Waiyavi in Lautoka, as he received the assistance from the Mr Tuitubou told him: “You have given me hope where I had lost hope”.
“I am so thankful to the Minister for Youth and Sports and his team for this assistance. With my physical challenges, I knocked on so many doors to seek help and the only response I got was for them to record my name and number and say they were going to call me,” Mr Hussain said.
“Today, I am still waiting for those calls. But I am so grateful that I was finally assisted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.”
Mr Hussain said he is the sole income earner in the family and enhancing his business will improve their livelihood and bring them out of poverty.
“I have started a small vegetable selling business at the Lautoka Market and the assistance from the Ministry will expand my business and earn more profit to provide for my family,” he said.
