The Anare Lutumailagi-cap­tained Jack’s Nadi Under-20 side defeated BLK Nadroga 17- 12 in the Skipper Cup Premiership semifinal at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka yesterday.

The side will play Namosi in the final on Saturday.

What happened: Nadi started well but it took them 22 minutes to score through centre Samuela Toga, 5-0.

Five minutes later Nadroga’s Kaliva­ti Ravouvou scored and was converted by first five- eighth Gideon Colanata­wake, 7-5.

In the 36th minute second five-eighth Vilimoni Botitu scored in the corner to regain the lead.

Halftime: Nadi 10-7 Nadroga.

In the 43rd minute Nadi fullback Te­vita Mociu scored and converted by Toga, 17-7.

In the 70th minute Nadroga man­aged to score through lock Onosimo Nawalu 17- 12.

Fulltime: Nadi 17-12 Nadroga

Big Play: Vilimoni Botitu played well for Nadi.

Star turn: Oswald Pickering was a terrier in the breakdowns.

Comments: Nadi manager Sikeli Lo­tawa said, “We thank the boys for the good game. Our loss to Suva last week was a wake-up call for us.”

Nadroga manager Poasa Serevi said, “Nadi is a good team. Congratulations to them.”
