Labasa Football Association local league held its first round matches at Bocalevu Primary School ground last Sunday.

League chairperson Shameer Hassan said Town FC and Police FC started with a bang scoring four goals each.

“The three new teams joining this year are Valebasoga FC, Nagigi FC and Labasa Youths,” Hassan said.

“We are going to have league every Sunday as we have to end it by first or second week of August.”

“The winner of the league will compete in the National Club Championship in September.

Results: Valebasoga 1-1 Batinikama, Town 4- 1 Babasiga Cubs, Nasea 0-4 Police, Black Virus 3-1 Babasiga Lions, Nagigi United 2-1 Wailevu, Tabia 1-1 Labasa Youth, Town 0-0 Black Virus.
