There is a need to establish high standards of career development beginning at the earliest grades: Tuima

An official from the Commissioner Northern’s Office believes that career expositions are one of the many ways to develop children’s learning abilities to excel in life.

Northern Divisional Secretary Soko Tuima said there was a need to establish high standards of career development beginning at the earliest grades with awareness, exploration and implementation.

Speaking at the career expo at Labasa College on Wednesday, Mr Tuima said, “Every child is special and should be treated equally.

“Through the implementation of this exposition we want every child to understand and realise that it’s important to prioritise their education while at school because they must have a job or start their own business upon completion of studies.”

Students from 18 secondary and 10 primary schools from Saqani, Wainikoro, Qelemumu, Naleba, and Udu Pointwere part of the one-day career expo.
