Analysis: Traits Of A Good Leader

In this 2018 General Election, politicians will be out in force to try to convince you that they have what it takes to lead the country.
They want your vote.
When politicians come to you with competing policies that sound good, how do you choose who should lead based on those policies?
Sometimes it is difficult separating these policies. In this instance, history has shown that many invariably turn to moral leadership as the decider.
Authorities on this subject say moral leadership is a very different kind of leadership.
Moral leaders aim to serve rather than aspiring to be followed.
They tend to develop the capacity of others.
Morality in leadership matters in politics and in electing a government.
Those who ascend to leadership positions in the public sector must be prepared to go under public scrutiny, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Their conduct must be impeccable. Leadership, therefore, comes with responsibilities.
It is about doing the right thing and being able to sleep in peace at night because of that.
