The Peniasi Ratu-skippered Cuvu College side will try to maintain their unbeaten run in the Western Secondary Schools Rugby Under-18 final at the Churchill Park, Lautoka today.

The Nadroga-based school play former Deans Trophy champion Ratu Navula College in the feature game of the day.

Both teams have qualified for the 2018 National Powerade Deans Rugby quarterfinals.

Cuvu College principal Navneet Mishra said they semifinal win over Natabua High School was for all the people of Nadroga.

“Natabua gave us a good game and I thank the players from both teams for showcasing good sportsmanship,” he said.

“We knew they would be coming out strong as they have not been in the Deans competition for the third year now. But it was always our initial aim to make it to the Deans quarterfinals,” Mishra said.

“We have been in quarterfinals for the past three years and we will be facing the giants from the Eastern and Suva zones.”

Fixtures Today: U15 Sigatoka Methodist -Ba Provincial Freebird Institute; U16 Ratu Navula – Natabua High; U17: Natabua High – Ratu Navula; U18 Cuvu College – Ratu Navula College; U19 Ratu Navula – Nasikawa Vision.
