Defending Skipper Cup Premiership champions BLK Nadroga rugby side are wary of Suva, as they clash in today’s final at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

Nadroga Rugby Union president Tiko Matawalu told SUNsports that they are concerned about Suva’s goal to dethrone the Stallions who have been winning the competition since 2004.

“We recorded a close win earlier this year but to be honest Suva is always a different team when it comes to the final,” he said.

Nadroga have named a powerful pack in this must-win clash and they also have quality players on the bench who will come in later in the game to make an impact.

Nadroga captain Rupeni Nasiga said they have adapted Nadroga’s style of free flowing rugby.

“We have to bring back the old rugby style which Nadroga is well known for and with the look of things all will depend on how the boys work during the game,” he said.

Matawalu has called on fans to come out in numbers to support the team.

Last Saturday, Nadroga were on fire as they thrashed Naitasiri 52-19 at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka while a young Suva side survived a torrid encounter to beat Namosi 26-20.

The match kicks-off at 3.30pm.
