The Queen Victoria School Un­der-18 team booked their spot in the 2018 Powerade Super Rugby Deans competition quarter­finals.

This was after the Victorians beat St John’s College (SJC) 21-12 at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori yesterday.

What happened: SJC scored two tries to lead 12-0. But QVS was de­termined to stay in the game and scored a try which was converted and kicked two penalties to lead 13-12 at halftime.

But there was no stopping the boys from Matavatucou in the second spell, They scored a try and kicked a penalty to seal the win.

Comments:

QVS coach Jo Savou said; “We achieved our mission and we need to step up game our game.”

SJC coach Driso Yabaki said; “The Cawaci boys did their best and they will be back stronger for the 2019 Powerade Super Rugby Deans com­petition.”
