Construction Underway For More Teachers Quarters

Teachers of Tailevu North College can now look forward to the completion of their residing facilities by the end of this year.
Republic of the Fiji Military Forces, Warrant Officer Class 1 (WO1) Penaia Balawa confirmed that RFMF Engineers were awarded the tender for the construction of the five teachers’ quarters.
WO1 Balawa said they had started work on the first building and the building materials to complete the construction work would be delivered to the site next week.
WO1 Balawa, is the officer in charge with ordering the materials.
Foreman Corporal Taniela Tuinivono said their timeline to complete one building was 70 days.
However, he said the timeline to complete the construction work could be completed earlier than expected if the materials arrived on time.
He said the cost of one teacher’s quarter was $40,000.
Meanwhile, there is also a team of RFMF Engineers constructing six teachers’ quarters at Namalata District School.
Foreman WO1, Joji Maloadali said they were currently constructing two buildings and they should be completed within 70 days.
WO1 Maloadali said he was happy that the building materials would be arriving next week as they could start work on two other buildings.
