Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, John Feakes urged players to respect the decision of the referees.

He was the chief guest in the official opening of the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament at Churchill Park, Lautoka yesterday.

“To the players, play hard, play safe and always respect the referee,” he stated.

He said that sport was a great medium to get people together.

“I wish you all the very best of luck,” he added.

Jone Nakauvadra, chief executive officer of Lautoka City Council, said predicting the winner of this tournament would be tough as all the teams had prepared well.

The acting president of Fiji Football Association, Yogeshwar Singh said the tournament was important for the development of the sport.
