Labasa Football team manager Nilesh Lal confirmed defender Jale Dreloa will not feature in the semi-final against Suva in the Battle of the Giants (B.O.G) this Saturday.

Lal said this was the major setback for the team as he was one of the top defenders.

“Dreloa will not play because he received yellow card twice in the tournament,” Lal said.

“Another setback is that we have a few players who are injured like Christopher Wasasala and Lekima Gonerau but they are slowly recovering.”

“The players trained as from Tuesday under the guidance of coach Anand Sam. They will leave for Lautoka on Friday.

“Our match against Suva will be a tough one as we both aim to win the tournament.

“We believe in our boys and if they stick to game plan definitely they will win.

“For 21 years we missed out and this time our aim is to win it.

“Labasa won the  Vodafone Fiji FACT in 2015,  Courts IDC in 2016, Champion vs Champion winner in 2017.

“For 2018 we want to advance to final and claim B.O.G title.”

Taniela Waqa will lead the side and Ali thanked their sponsor Lincoln Refrigeration for their support.”
