Fiji Airways And Fiji Link Advisory – Mount Aoba Eruption And Resulting Ash Cloud
The Manaro Voui volcano on Vanuatu’s Ambae island.

All Fiji Airways and Fiji Link flights resumed operations as scheduled yesterday after safety assessments were made.

Some flights experienced slight delays or extended flight times due to longer flight paths.

A significant ash cloud caused by the Mount Aoba Volcanic Eruption in Vanuatu severely affected flight operations around the region.

As a result a number of Fiji Airways and Fiji Link flights were impacted.

Safety remained paramount for the Fiji Airways group and safety assessments were made continuously regarding the Ash Cloud situation.

Guests were continuously provided updated travel information on https://www.fijiairways.com/flight-information/travel-alerts/ and the Flight Status tab on the Fiji Airways website and app.

Fiji Airways and Fiji Link apologised for any inconvenience caused by the Ash Cloud.
