The Cricket Fiji team re­ceived another major boost ahead of their participa­tion in the lCC East Asia Pacific Sub-Regional World T20 Qualifier later this month.

Vodafone Fiji handed over 23 Sam­sung J1 Ace mobile phones to play­ers and officials following their team run at Albert Park, Suva yes­terday. This makes Vodafone to be the eighth corporate sponsors sup­porting the national team.

Cricket Fiji board director Liga Gukisuva was overwhelmed with the support.

“Today marked another milestone for Cricket Fiji as we announce the eighth corporate partner to join Cricket Fiji. Gukisuva said.

“Having this big corporate or­ganization to come and support Cricket Fiji is a big boost not only to support the sport but to the play­ers as well.”

Gukisuva have also confirmed that players will get to share a $20,000 bonus if they win the tour­nament.

“On Friday we will make the an­nouncement of the bonuses for players.”

The tournament will be held at Suva’s Albert Park on August 23-30.
